Jo Tory welcomed to JAA Board

On February 9, Joanna Tory of Najo was welcomed to The Jewellers Association of Australia (JAA) Board to commence a co-opted Director’s position. This appointment will see Joanna join JAA President Selwyn Brandt, Vice-President and Buying-Group Representative George Proszkowiec, and Directors Brett Bolton, Frank Salera and Karen Lindley.

 Joanna possesses over 30 years’ experience in the Australian jewellery industry as a fine silver jewellery retailer and supplier. As the founder, Managing Director, and Creative Head of jewellery house Najo, Joanna brings a wealth of knowledge to the 2017 JAA Board of Directors, especially in the field of marketing.

JAA Executive Director Amanda Hunter at the February 9 Board meeting remarked “Jo will be a fabulous addition to our team. She has many years’ business experience and I have been truly impressed by the way she manages her business and markets her brand. She has tremendous energy and passion for the jewellery industry which will make her a valuable addition to the JAA Board in 2017”.

 Jo is a passionate advocate for Australian jewellery manufacture and design that expresses one’s creative individuality and unique taste, and the JAA believes she will be a valued addition to the JAA Board.

 Najo has been a JAA member since 1993.
