JAA announces 2017 JAA Jewellery Awards media partnership with marie claire
26 July 2017
The Jewellers Association of Australia (JAA) is pleased to announce a media partnership with marie claire for the 2017 JAA Australasian Jewellery Awards (Awards). This comes after marie claire’s successful media partnership with the 2010 JAA Australian Jewellery Awards.
With the number of entries and calibre of the pieces received for the 2017 Awards, particularly in the precious metal, colour and diamond categories, a move towards a media partner focused wholly on fashion and style was imperative. Therefore, a partnership with a leading Australian women’s magazine in the 25-54 target market was deemed an unquestionable fit. Furthermore, the partnership will cater towards entrants’ growing needs and desires for consumer exposure and the wider promotion of the jewellery industry.
In 2017, marie claire will host the Reader’s Choice Award online, with 10 finalists selected from all Awards entries by marie claire Senior Fashion Editor, Chloe Buttenshaw. marie claire readers will have the chance to select their favourite piece by voting online at marieclaire.com.au. The Reader’s Choice will be promoted via marie claire’s and the JAA’s social media channels. marie claire has an impressive readership of 379,00[1], 580,000[2] social media followers, a potential social media reach of 1,106,275, and a website page impression rate of 1.3 million[3].
Furthermore, marie claire will feature all category winners in an editorial piece to be published on the marie claire website.
Emma Ward, the JAA Marketing and Memberships Manager, has commented on the renewed relationship between marie claire and the JAA Jewellery Awards program “This partnership is once again bringing together a key women’s fashion and style magazine, marie claire, with the only industry-run fine jewellery design competition across Australia and New Zealand. Working together with marie claire delivers the Awards entrants greater consumer exposure, highlights the JAA and its members to consumers, in addition to offering wider exposure of Australian jewellery industry – a win, win for all.”
The JAA Australasian Jewellery Awards’ winners will be announced at a masquerade ball hosted in conjunction with Showcase at the Sheraton on the Par, Sydney on August 25th. A marie claire representative will be in attendance to present to Reader’s Choice Award to the winner.
