The Jewellers Association of Australia (JAA) Board announces the appointment of Joshua Sharp as JAA President, effective immediately.
This comes as the Board accepted the mid-term resignation of Karen Denaro as a JAA Director and President. The JAA Board extends their gratitude and thank you to Karen for her enthusiasm and commitment to the JAA during her time on the Board. The Board wishes her all the best for her future endeavours.
Joshua Sharp joined the JAA Board in 2021 and moves from the Vice President role. Joshua has been at the helm as the General Manager of Ian Sharp Jewellery for the past 15 years, where his focus has been in business operations and finance. His jewellery specialties within the business include diamonds and second-hand jewellery. Joshua also comes to the Board with a strong background having previously worked in banking and finance.
Moving into the role of Vice President is Ronnie Bauer and assuming the role of Treasurer is Cameron Marks; both having served on the JAA Board for several years and hold vast industry experience.
The JAA Annual General Meeting will take place on Monday, 21 November 2022. Director nominations for the Board, from members, will open in the coming weeks.
